Rakesh Sarmah is a law graduate from Bangalore University, has done his L.L.M. from King’s College London, U.K. and was admitted to the bar in 2007. He has worked in the field of domestic arbitration, civil and corporate litigation with primary focus on Arbitration Law, Company Law, Contract Law, Tax Law and commercial disputes before the High Courts, Company Law Board, Custom Excise Service Tax Appellate Tribunal for leading international and domestic clientele. He has also been involved in transactional and conveyancing work, including review and drafting of escrow agreements, shareholders agreements, share purchase agreement, license agreement, Memorandum and Articles of Association and other commercial documents. He has also advised on issues arising out of company law, exchange control regulation, contract, labour law and other commercial law including taxation.
