Foreign Trade Update
A. Amendment in MEIS Schedule concerning revalidation of Export Authorisation Vide Public Notice 12/2015-2020 dated July 10, 2020, additions and amendments have been made
to Appendix 3B, Table 2 being the MEIS schedule to harmonize the same with the ITC (HS) 2017-Schedule 1 (Import Policy) updated vide Notification 38/2015-2020 dated January 1, 2020 and Finance (No.2) Act, 2019 dated August 1, 2019.

B. Launch of new DGFT platform and Digital delivery of IEC related services As part of Digital India programme and for Ease of Doing Business, DGFT has decided to revamp
its services delivery mechanisms. As a step in that direction, the first phase of a new digital platform of DGFT is scheduled to Go-Live on July 13, 2020, by catering to services related to IEC issuance, modification, amendments etc., and processes along with a Chatbot (a virtual assistant) catering to queries of users. Other online modules relating to Advance Authorisation, EPCG, and Exports Obligation Discharge which are part of next phase will be rolled out subsequently after the first phase stabilizes.

Trade Remedy Measures Update
The Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR), Ministry of Commerce and Industry has recently undertaken the following measures concerning trade remedy investigations.
• June 19, 2020- Initiation Notification issued in anti- circumvention investigation concerning alleged circumvention of (i) anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of “Polytetrafluoroethylene” (PTFE) originating in or exported from Russia by imports of “Polytetrafluoroethylene” (PTFE) exported from Korea RP and (ii) anti-dumping duty
imposed on imports of “Polytetrafluoroethylene” products (PTFE products) originating in or exported from China PR.
