A. Late Cut for MEIS applications for exports made in the Financial Year 2019-20
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade vide Public Notice No. 53/2015-2020 dated April 9,2021 has inserted a new provision in the Handbook of Procedures, 2015-2020 at the end of para 3.15 (a),that a MEIS application for Shipping bills with Let Export date from 01.04.2019 to 31.03.2020 can be submitted without any late cut upto 30.09.2021. However any such application submitted after 30.09.2021, for an MEIS claim, late cut would be applied accordingly.

B. Amendment in Export Policy of Injection Remdesivir and Remdesivir API
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade vide Notification No. 01/2015-2020 dated April 11,2021 has stated that the export of Injection Remdesivir and Remdesivir Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) falling under the ITCHS Codes Ex 293499 and Ex 300490 has been prohibited with immediate effect.

Trade Remedy Measures Update
. The Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR), Ministry of Commerce and Industry has recently undertaken the following measures concerning trade remedy investigations.
March 30,2021: -Final Finding Notification No. 6/14/2019-DGTR dated 29th December 2020 in anti-subsidy investigation concerning imports of “Clear Float Glass” originating in or exported from Malaysia.
