Niti Sudhakar

Niti Sudhakar is a law graduate from the University of Delhi and was admitted into the Bar Council of Delhi in 1998. She has over 2 decades of experience in a wide array of laws ranging from corporate commercial law to dispute resolution.

She has worked extensively in civil aviation sector with primary focus on tender process involving bidding, negotiating with the airport operators / licensing authority, finalising concessions relating to development, operation and management of cargo facilities and ground handling facilities and other passenger and ground handling equipment at various metropolitan and non-metropolitan airports in India.

She regularly advises clients in various sectors, amongst others, in civil aviation, telecom, manufacturing on various transactions involving restructuring, mergers & acquisitions, project financing, project development, regulatory issues, policy, security clearances from relevant Authority. She also has extensive experience in handling disputes in different legal fora for leading domestic and international clientele and handling domestic and international commercial arbitration.

Her strength lies in tender process, mergers & acquisitions, transactional and conveyancing work including review, drafting and negotiation of concession agreements, licenses and grants, foreign collaboration agreements, joint ventures, consortium arrangements, shareholders agreements, technology license agreements, escrow agreements, other commercial documents and conducting due diligence.

Niti regularly advises on issues relating to entry options into India, exchange control regulations and issues arising out of company law, including company formations and corporate governance, regulatory reporting and compliance etc., apart from advising on various issues relating to and arising out of contract and other commercial laws, employment laws and environment, health and safety laws.

Niti has been regularly advising corporate clients on The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition & Redressal) Act, 2013. She is a member of the Internal Complaints Committee for various multinational companies in India. She has been a speaker for FICCI & FICCI FLO on the said subject.

She has authored a legal resource / reckoner on women centric laws in association with ELSA to spread awareness amongst women. She is also the vice chairperson on the Ethical Review Board of one the leading research organizations in the field of social research that involves human subjects who are considered vulnerable including issues like LGBT studies being funded by World Bank.
